It is after modern times that the marines have been collectively noticed at the national level, and the world has been connected through the expansion of marine transportation, and human and material cultural exchanges have been developed along the way.,This drove globalization, and this flow also included the East Asian region.,The East Asian region, which accepted modern civilization through the ocean, relativized the sea, accepted modern knowledge through the sea and converted it into a national state.,The national states have driven the territorialization of the sea, which has led to the conflict and confrontation of the sea, and in this regard, returning the sea to the place of reconciliation and peace is linked to postmodernism.,In this article, the recognition surrounding the sea, the study formed by the sea, and the area (sea area) theory formed around the sea were summarized based on the existing research.,Based on this theorem, I would like to see the possibility of a new academic field called the humanities of the sea.
